Your Role at OPA:

As the HRBP at OrthoAlaska, you will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to foster a positive, productive, and engaging workplace culture. You will achieve this by developing and executing strategies to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, training, development, performance, and retention, while managing employee relations issues and assisting with conflict resolution.

You will work with the other members of the HR team to develop and implement a robust program for orientation, integration, and training of new employees. You will also oversee ethics and compliance allegations, employee investigations, policy interpretation, and HR integration into employee relations at every level of the organization and across all its locations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with managing all processes related to orientation, integration, and training of new employees.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement programs and initiatives to improve employee morale, motivation, and job satisfaction.
  • Conduct employee surveys and focus groups to gather feedback and insights on workplace culture, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director and OrthoAlaska leadership to address and resolve employee relations issues and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Work with the HR Director to develop and deliver leadership training to existing and future managers.
  • Coach and support managers and employees in effective communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and expected behaviors.
  • Partner with the HR Director and other teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential employee relations risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of local and federal labor laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in employee engagement and relations, and continuously improve processes and programs to meet changing needs.
  • Assist the HR Director in ensuring that employment practices are compliant with OrthoAlaska’s policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for managers and employees across the organization.
  • Identify and recommend methods to resolve problems and update, simplify, enhance, and optimize existing processes, procedures, policies, and technologies.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives to ensure that all services are effectively understood and promptly delivered.
  • Conduct data analysis to highlight key trends across the organization and actively drive training and process improvement.
  • Respond to employee relations issues, including employee complaints, harassment allegations, performance concerns, and coaching and development needs for managers and employees.
  • Improve communication between OrthoAlaska leadership and employees.
  • Support the overall HR strategy of OrthoAlaska.

Required qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5–10 years of experience in health care, human resources, or compliance

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources or Organizational Behavior
